I knew I had a knack for design when I was a little kid.  I was always changing my bedroom furniture around from as early as I can remember.  I was this scrawny 8 or 9-year old kid who knew how to bristle up against my solid wood bureau and use every ounce of muscle I had to push and maneuver the piece in exactly the way I wanted!

Your Home Your Way Design came about when founder Heidi Smith realized many people did not think a well decorated home was affordable, or would take too much time. From personal experience she knew that with strong client communication, she could give a wide range of clients the quality advice they were looking for and satisfy their design needs. Armed with this realization, Heidi decided it was time to give the field of Interior Design a little redesign itself. Heidi has always had a flair for design. Once her children were of school age, she enrolled in the American Intercontinental University-School of Interior Design. Prior to launching her own business, Heidi worked for over 15 years with fellow Interior Designers as well as performing freelance work. Her accomplishments have included overseeing the construction of new homes, one-story addition renovation projects and creating and installing kitchen cabinetry designs. Underlining her diverse talents, she is also the accredited Interior Designer on an episode of the HGTV home design show, "Before & After".
